GEIS Launches Switchgear Joint Venture in Houston, Texas

GEIS Electrical Protection is pleased to announce the establishment of a new switchgear joint venture based in Houston, Texas. The facility marks a significant step in GEIS's North American growth strategy, bringing manufacturing, engineering, and after-sales support closer to customers across the United States & Canada.

The Houston operation will serve as GEIS's hub for medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear, combining proven global product platforms with local manufacturing, faster lead times, and responsive technical service tailored to North American standards and customer expectations.

Houston was selected for its position at the center of North America's energy, industrial, and infrastructure markets, along with its skilled workforce and strong logistics connectivity. The joint venture structure pairs GEIS's switchgear engineering expertise with trusted local partner Persimmon Property Investments, LLC, enabling faster regulatory alignment, in-region inventory, and a service model built around the needs of data center, utility, industrial, and commercial customers.
